Wayne High School

Principal's Message

Jeffrey Berk
Principal Wayne

Dear Students and Parents,

I am so pleased to be the Principal of Wayne High School! My roots are long established in the Huber Heights City Schools system. I am a proud graduate of Wayne High School Class of 2000. I started my career as an Intervention Specialist at Wayne, from there; I went on to become Supervisor of Special Services, then as an Assistant Principal at Wayne High School. I also served as an assistant varsity football coach.

My goal is to build a strong school that provides for an outstanding educational experience for all students. Over the past several years, Wayne High School has made great strides in our academic progress, student involvement in athletics, and clubs. I plan to continue those achievements and expand upon our student successes. As a Warrior Family, together we will continue to search and find new ways to reach academic greatness along with finding ways to instill and inspire Warrior Pride.

I believe that we are all partners at Wayne High School and share a common goal: To provide a safe, happy and successful learning experience for each of our students. To achieve this goal we all must have High Expectation, Accountability, Student must have ownership and accountability for their education.

I truly believe that communication is the key to a successful educational experience. Students benefit as parents and guardians are involved in their learning. You, as a parent, are a valuable component to your child’s education. It is important for us to keep open lines of communication between home and school. We must work as a team to guide your children toward success. We have created two social media accounts to improve our communication on events and other information.

I look forward to working together to make sure Wayne High School meets our goal of providing excellent educational opportunities and a positive learning environment for our students.

Please know that this is your school, and we welcome your involvement. Families are their child’s first and most important teachers, and we need your cooperation and involvement to provide your student with the best education possible. You are welcome to contact me anytime to ask questions or give feedback. I look forward to an excellent school year of building new relationships and helping all students enjoy school and be successful. Warrior Pride!

Jeff Berk

As a Wayne Warrior, we all will:

Have a high regard for others and myself as unique and valuable individuals.

Exhibit pride in myself through my speech, dress, and behavior and be willing to treat every other person and their property with respect.

Make an honest effort to do my best in my schoolwork and activities in order to know the satisfaction of achievement and success.

Believe that a significant part of my school experience includes services to others.

Accept the benefits and responsibilities that are mine as a citizen of my school, my community and my country.
