SUMMER END OF COURSE RETAKES - July 15-26, 2019
End of Course Retakes will be offered this summer for any student wishing to retake one or more tests.  Please visit this link to sign up for summer retakes based on the schedule below. https://forms.gle/QQK14gkbREqnXtS7A

JUNIORS…You are required to have 18 points to meet the testing requirement for graduation.  If you DO NOT have 18 points or have not met the minimums for English & math, you only have TWO MORE CHANCES (summer & fall) to earn your points.  The State of Ohio has APPROVED an alternate pathway for graduation for the Class of 2020 (SEE BELOW), however, you must have retaken any English or math test in which you scored a 2 or lower at least ONCE to be eligible for the alternate pathway.  If you have not done so, you may want to sign up for retakes or you will have to retake these in the Fall.

SOPHOMORES & FRESHMAN may also sign up, however, scores from Spring testing will not be released online until June 3rd.  You may email Mrs. Gore at toni.gore@huberheightscityschools.org after June 3rd to determine if you must retake.

The testing schedule for those weeks is below.  All testing will begin at 8 am.

CLASS OF 2020 GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS & ALTERNATE PATHWAY OPTIONS
Please click HERE for graduation requirements for the Class of 2020 from the Ohio Department of Education.  The State of Ohio has approved an Alternate Pathway for the students in the Class of 2020 who have not met the testing requirement for graduation.  Information about the Alternate Pathway can be found HERE.  Please do not hesitate to contact your student's counselor with any questions you may have.

SIGN IN PROCEDURE TO SEE A COUNSELOR
Students who wish to sign up to see their counselor must do so using the Counselor Sign Up google form at Goo.gl/zeMqBiStudents may use any device (phone, school/home/work computer), at anytime, however the student MUST be signed into their school Google account in order to use the form. If the student does not know their school email/password, please contact Ms. Ross in room E111. 

FAFSA WILL OPENED OCTOBER 1, 2018 FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2019-2020
Thinking of going to college or trade school?  One of the first steps to take is to fill out the FREE APPLICATION for FEDERAL STUDENT AID.  Did you know that chances of getting student financial aid are 85% and 92% of students from low-income household get grants that never need to be paid back?  It only takes an hour to apply.  Just fill out the FAFSA at https://fafsa.ed.gov/ to get started.  See your counselor for additional assistance!

SINCLAIR COLLEGE CREDIT PLUS - NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION 2018-2019
Sinclair's new student orientation can be found HERE.  This presentation is loaded with information for students such as registering online, getting books, using Sinclair Services and seeing an Academic Advisor.  Please take the time to go through the orientation.

SINCLAIR COLLEGE CREDIT PLUS - BOOK INFORMATION
Books for CCP classes can be picked up at the downtown Sinclair bookstore.  You must have either your Tartan ID card or your schedule and a picture ID to pick up your books.  If you have not had a Tartan ID card made yet, you can also do that at the downtown location.  Mrs. Gore also has a library of books that can be checked out as well.

ALL materials purchased by the district MUST be turned into Mrs. Gore in B113 at the end of the semester or if you drop a class to avoid any fees.

CCP TUTORING
FREE online tutoring is available to all CCP students who are taking Math, Physics, Chemistry or Human Anatomy.  Writing tutors are also available to provide feedback on any writing assignment.  Click HERE for the eTutoring instructions.

COLLEGE CREDIT PLUS INFORMATION - School Year 2018-2019
If a student fails a CCP course or withdraws from the course AFTER the refund date, the student/parent(s) will be responsible for all costs associated with the course.  Courses are charged $41.57 per credit hour.  (Example: ENG 1101 is 3 credit hours.  Student fails or withdraws after the refund date, therefore, $124.71 will be added to the student's fees.) Please monitor your CCP institution's calendar for the the drop date with a refund if you plan on dropping a class.  Any books, computer programs or other materials purchased for the course by the district MUST be returned to Mrs. Gore, CCP Coordinator, if the student withdraws from the course or when the semester is completed.

     Students needing the OGT have 3 opportunities to test between September 1, 2018 - July 31, 2019

Graduation will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at 2 pm at the Nutter Center.
