Parent night for incoming freshman will be January 31 at 6:30 PM

 

Wayne's Annual Winter Formal Dance!!

Winter wonderland dance will be February 2nd in Wayne's Cafeteria!

Tickets will be $10.00 and will go on sale during lunch, the week of January 28th, so plan ahead!

 

If you plan on bringing an outside guest please pick up a form in the main office or Ms. Waaso in A126 as soon as possible! **ONLY SENIORS CAN BRING OUTSIDE GUESTS TO THE WINTER FORMAL DANCE**& WE HAVE A LIMITED NUMBER OF THOSE.

 

WAYNE GOT TALENT!  YES, WE DO!!  Next Wed. Thurs. & Friday starting at 3 there will be tryouts for the talent show! All talents welcome! If you would like to tryout please see Ms. McCawley H212 or Ms Kohl –H228 to sign up before the 16th!”

 

CURRENT WARRIOR PRIDE NEWS

ABIGAIL KERESTES, Placed 1st for her Voice of  Democracy Speech at the local level: VFW Post 3283, She moved on to the District Competition, and also WON at the District!  She has advanced to the State Competition and will be attending the VFW Department of Ohio Mid-Winter Conference in Columbus, on the 12th  where the state winner will be announced Congratulations and Good Luck to Abigail.

 

SENIOR INFORMATION

YEARBOOKS - ON SALE!  See the flyers posted around school or see Mrs. Leffew in E208 for more info.

Seniors: Time is running out to get your senior picture, quote and Future Goal submitted for the yearbook. Please see Mrs. Leffew in E208 if you still do not have a yellow information packet.

 

If you ordered a senior shirt, make sure you pick it up, stop by Ms. Wasso (A126) after school. 

 

 The Name on your Diploma is most important!

Check - Outside the main office, The Senior office, or Outside Counselor’s Hallway (double checking the correct spelling of your name. Please see Mrs. Miller to make any changes.

 

THE SENIOR FEE LIST HAS BEEN UPDATED ON THE MAIN OFFICE AND SENIOR OFFICE WINDOWS.  REMEMBER, TRANSCRIPTS REQUESTED WILL NOT BE SENT IF YOU OWE FEES.

Seniors are you looking for information on Scholarships. You will need to send your email address, so come to the main office for more information on how to receive notifications when scholarships come in.

SPORTS INFORMATION

PURCHASE BASKETBALL TICKETS TODAY WHILE THEY LAST TILL 3:00.  PLEASE DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE, WE HAVE  A LIMITED NUMBER OF TICKETS AVAILABLE.

SOFTBALL INFORMATION_  - There will be a Softball information meeting on Monday, January 14 at 3 pm in the commons for any girl interested in playing Softball this Spring – Coach Viers  

 BASEBALL REMINDER:  Normal work-outs Tuesday and Thursday 3:15-5:00 in Muntz Gym and Weight Room. Wednesday 3:15-5:00 Pitchers/Catchers in Muntz Gym.

 

SOCCER -   “To all returning boys and girls soccer players and anyone interested in playing SOCCER for the 2019 season there will be a players/parents meeting on January 16th at 6 PM in the cafeteria. This is for both boys and girls soccer players, will be discussing many important topics including; weight room schedules, open gyms, summer camp and more. Please plan on attending if you can. If you cannot make it please get in contact with either Coach Hemphill or Coach Hogsten.”

 

VOLLEYBALL INFO-   If you didn’t attend the volleyball informational meeting yesterday after school, stop in and see Mr. Cornelius A-119 to get information regarding Open Gyms that will be starting soon!

 

GUIDANCE NEWS

PSAT RESULTS  - Are in for all students who took the test in October.  You can pick these up from Mrs. Bargo in the Career Center.

ATTENTION FALL SEMESTER CCP STUDENTS

If you took a CCP class online or outside of Wayne, any textbooks and/or other materials used for your Fall semester classes they MUST be returned to Mrs. Gore in B113 to avoid having book fees added to your account.  If you took the class at Wayne, the books should be returned to the teacher.  Students who took PSY 1100 at Wayne should return their books to the library.

COLLEGE CREDIT PLUS

There will be an informational parent meeting for any student interested in College Credit Plus for the 2019-2020 school year on Tuesday, January 15th at 6 pm in the PAC.

 

SCIENCE CLUB NEWSLong awaited trip to the Air Force Research Lab to use scanning electron microscopes has been rescheduled for January 16th. We will leave after school around 3:45 and return about 6:45.

Students who turned in permission slips will need to complete a new permission slip to reflect the new date. There might be room for other students who did not sign up earlier. If you want to go get the two forms completed and submitted.
