Huber Heights Athletic Foundation Continues Making Noteworthy Donations To HHCS

huber heights athletic foundationJanuary 16th, 2019 – Huber Heights City Schools (HHCS) Board Meetings are a monthly occurrence where Board Members and administration sort out the district’s finances, policies, and upcoming events. A closer look at the January 2019 agenda reveals more than $18,000 in donations from the Huber Heights Athletic Foundation (HHAF).

That kind of steadfast support has been constant while the district has been growing and flourishing over the decades. HHCS Liaison Selena Crace says the HHAF donated more than $40,000 to the district during fiscal year 2017-18. Crace also says that amount included grants, donations, sponsorships and contributions on behalf the foundation’s parent volunteers.

The HHAF is dedicated to improving HHCS athletics and academics and has been providing funding for more than 20 years. Grants are funded on a quarterly cycle in March, June, September and December with an application process used to determine funding.

The foundation organizes several events including Wayne Bingo, fish fry’s, and several holiday events with the most notable ones being Cookies with Santa and their New Year’s Eve party. Parents can volunteer at Wayne Bingo and earn funds to send to HHCS to pay for their students’ various athletic and academic fees.
