Young Scholars Program

young scholars programThe Young Scholars Program is now accepting applications for the 2019-2020 school year. This program is for students in grades 9-11.

Students from Wayne have achieved great success while participating in the program in previous years. We have available slots for more Wayne students to apply to be a Young Scholar.

The Young Scholars Program at Sinclair College provides college readiness activities that prepare students for success during and after high school. Students have the opportunity to participate in college preparation and career exploration activities during Saturday enrichment sessions throughout the year on Sinclair’s campus, as well as attend cultural enrichment and community involvement events.

To qualify to be a Young Scholar, a student must

  • Be a resident of Montgomery County
  • Have a 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Be a first-generation prospective college student
  • Receive a recommendation by an education and community member.

Students who graduate from the program are eligible to receive a Financial Aid package to Sinclair and become a Taylor Scholar.

Please visit https://www.sinclair.edu/academics/young-scholars-program/ to complete the application.
