We use multiple ways to gauge where students are. One of those methods is standardized testing. Here are the state testing dates for each building, subject, and grade level. Testing begins on March 27 and will complete at the beginning of May. Students will follow their normal school schedule through the testing period.
Here are testing schedules for each school:
Elementary Testing Schedule
Weisenborn JH Testing Schedule March 27 - April 14
Weisenborn JH Testing Schedule April 24 - 28
Wayne HS Testing Schedule March 27 - April 14
Wayne HS Testing Schedule April 24 - April 28
Testing can cause students anxiety. The best thing parents can do is encourage their students to do their best and believe in themselves.
Here are a few tips to ensure testing success:
1. Ensure your child arrives at school on time.
2. Eat a good breakfast. Proper nutrition is important for student success. Breakfast is available for FREE, to all students, in the cafeteria at each morning. The breakfast times below are approximate. Please check with your student's building to verify times.
Charles Huber and Wright Brothers: 8:20 a.m.
Monticello, Rushmore, and Valley Forge: 8:50 a.m.
Weisenborn JH: 7:30 a.m.
Wayne HS: 7:25 a.m.
3. Ensure your student gets a good night’s sleep (8 hours 9, if possible) the nights before the tests, and try to cut back on activities the evenings before the tests.
4. Gently encourage them to do their best.
Finally, human nature allows us to rise to the occasion and perform well when we feel confident and believe in ourselves. We can’t get that from a textbook or practice test. We get that from people who care about us.
